We were friends for at least 2 months before we got together (although we had crushes on each other) and then were together for an awesome 2 months before he eventually ended things, saying he just couldn't be a good boyfriend, he had to much pressure going on in his life and he is feeling very depressed about his life/work/everything. We had an awesome connection/friendship/chemistry everything. I think he freaked out about being so close to someone. Anyway, after the break up I left work and went NC. He called me in less than a week and left a nice message. I did not return his call until 4 days later. He said he was glad I had called and that he has been feeling really down. We talked about half an hour but never mentioned the break-up. I really wanted to go NC, but I am going to have to go back to work and see this person on almost a daily basis. I wanted to create distance, but how do I do that in this situation? I don't mind talking to him once in awhile, I think I am fine with that, but actually having to see him regularly and interact? I was hoping to create a huge hole in his life and make more of an impact, but I am do to go back to work about a month post break-up. Any ideas?
