I was having a real bad time today gettting over my g/f and I breaking up. I am in NC but was real tempted to call. The breakup was not nasty. She had two teenagers, a**hole ex that mentally tortured her for 20+ years and is two years divorced. She is a beautiful person but it was a rebound relationship for both of us. It really was fated to die out due to different interests, the time it takes to raise teenagers and their needs, the demands of her job and my not knowing how much to insert myself into the kids lives especially considering their relationship with their dad (he uses them as tools to get at her). She was getting distant for the past month and I knew something would happen soon. On the train she just said "I'm not feeling it anymore, I don't know if is the job or the kids or..." and she was doing her best not to cry. She is a totally honest person and I knew this would be the end and I went NC. After reading some of the posts I realize that I must stick with NC to move on with life.

I'm sorry things didn't work out, but you sound very level-headed and sensible about it. I hope you are able to move on and feel better soon.

I will move on. I have just got to slog through this. It is something that only time will cure. I will give myself some time off of the social scene to get to know me a little better than try again. Thanks for the reply NoraJean.

Yesterday I really wanted to contact the ex and I mean bad. Just brought up LoveShack and read through the posts on NC and why it is good and got through the day. Much better today. You all have a good one.
