Many women know how to smile in your face and nice when they secretly despise or they are screwing around on you behind your back. When these women show their true colors men are heartbrokwn because they are still in love with the fantasy.What men need to do before getting serious with a woman is really find who she is deep down underneath all the superficial stuff. Get to know her views on relationships, commitment, gender issues, feminism etc. Find out what her values are and if they would be compatable with yours.

Why would anybody get involved in a relationship with someone they didn't bother getting to know? That's just ridiculous. And if someone thinks getting serious with another just because of apperance, then they desereved to get burned, despite their sexual organs.

You would be surprised how many men get involved with women that have nothing at all to offer but they are attractive and charming. Britney Spears will probably remarry one day and the man that marries her will be a moron.

You'd be bloody stupid to get into a serious relationship with anyone without knowing if you have the same values in those areas. If you do then, well... can you really complain when you eventually find out you don't match in those areas and get your heart broken?! And as a4a said, your mother wasn't a feminist. But feel free to blame affairs and global warming on me. Maybe you needed a stronger male role model in your life? And someone who does not already have serious issues would not be "brain washed" by a cult. But I am not going to argue this point with you. Trouble is Woggle, no one can stop someone labelling themselves a feminist when they are in fact just a crazy man hater. As a4a points out, the dictionary definition is of a women who believes we are equal to men, not inferior or superior. But there will always be women who decide to call themselves feminists when they are infact just man haters. When they have mental issues with men (due to many different causes) but choose to label themselves a feminist. It is them who are interpretting the meaning of feminism incorrectly. She clearly had issues with men. She then met a whole heap of other women who also had issues with men. They just decided - incorrectly - to call themselves feminists.

What you stated in your original post was common sense when entering into any relationship. That's what "dating" is for -- to find out more about a person before entering into a relationship with them.

Even here, time after time, there are many posts from men asking for advice on how to talk to, or ask out this beautiful girl, (no other defining characteristics were mentioned, only her beauty, and that they are in love with them because of it) as if she is seperate from the rest of the world, just because of her beauty alone, and therefore, completely unapproachable. I am steadily realizing, that many men, (not ALL) can be extremely superficial, and as long as the package looks good on the outside, its taken for granted that the inside contents are good as well. I too have often thought that men should try to dig deeper, instead of taking things for face value. Women have the right approach, in that they are highly analytical, but I just dont see the male counterparts stepping up to offer anything deeper than "she was so beautiful, I think I am in love" Where are all the profound, analytical, piercing men?? Did the earth swallow them whole, or what???!!

I made that mistake in the past and I sure as heck would never do it again. You are crazy if you are going to commit to someonew/o or before knowing what values they possess or stuff like that.
