Personally, I think the whole dating thing is overrated Too much expectations from the start. I believe a good friend is better than a bad lover, right? So don't look for Mrs. Right, just sit back, enjoy and be your cool, funky self. Don't base your self-esteem upon how well your date went! Aren't there any threads about the pitfalls, lol? Or maybe you could write one yourself, inform us. That would be cool. Something like "Everything you wanted to ask about on-line dating but were afraid to ask". Or "How to catch a bunny in 22 emails"? I can honestly say, I've seen it all: -been stood up -"i dont have sex on the first date" - and 2 hours into the date I have her on all 4's.... -almost got pooped on ("PooPoo Girl") -the infamous encounter in my old Hyundai (I will post that one day!) -a date that got sick and collapsed (another long story) -"will you teach me to be a comedian?" (and now she is) -a girl that literally said about 3 words the entire date, until we got to bed -"do you want to make a movie?" - the waiter who caught me and my then-gf making out in my car, a little closer to a restaurant window that we though -"eating good in the parking lot of the neighborhood" - the infamous Applebees date (who knew I'd wind up WORKING there a few years later?) and of course.....the lovely teacher who stole my heart, and later returned it in a rather damaged condition (but you all know THAT story...that's why I'm here in the first place!) This could make for a good read, if I really sat down and chronicled all this crap. lol -tp chapter 1: will you show me your hooters?

I have a few, but don't sound as interesting as yours. I met the ex who also took my heart and returned it screwed up on there. I can't believe I would consider going back, but honestly, what little looking and playing around there I have done, I have began to see a future without her. There are possibilities there. Of course, they are all actually married or Russians or transvestites.

I just have a few funny, well funny to me, quotes: "Does my vocabulary intimidate you?" asked by a pretty cool guy (or so I thought) before our first date then "So over these last 2 years have you found me like, really attractive?" - towards the end of a first date with a guy from school who I first thought was really cool and "Wha? You don't eat hot dogs? Who doesn't eat hot dogs?" - a guy who apparently can't remember anything about me (I don't eat meat, haha) Anyway, have a fun night tonight! Wish I had a first date, haha...or maybe not seeing that I never end up wanting to have a 2nd one with these dudes.

A bunch of my friends showed up at the restaurant for karaoke, so it was fun to be able to "loosen up" on a first date around my friends. An old friend of mine I hadn't seen in a while was there, too. A good time was had by all. I even got the place (close to 100 people) up and dancing to my rendition of "Baby Got Back". It almost backfired though. A girl from the next table came over to me as soon as I got off stage and wrapped her arms around me in a slightly more-than-friendly way. Oops. A few minutes later she came up to our table to try to get me to dance with her. Great. The HOTTEST girl in the place takes an interest in me, the ONE time I'm on a date. lol And yes, I did dance with her, for about 20 seconds. I can't be rude, right? My date didn't seem to mind, she knew I was uncomfortable, so it made her laugh. And of course, everything I do is for the enjoyment of others, anyway! LOL But, the date went well overall, and yes, there is apparently a second date in the making. So finally, some GOOD news from the front! -tp my anaconda don't want none unless you got buns, hon
