Just wondering...

I found the site in December 06 and since then I've been watching from the sidelines. I became a member this week (once I trusted the views enough that it wasn't going to be like the AA where I had to stand up and say "My name is Je Ne Regrette Rien and I AM the other woman!")

Since then I've been on every night since. My ironing pile is stacking up but I'm on LS instead...addictive! :o

So just wondering...how long do you spend on the site every day/night? Or do you dip in when you're feeling low/something has happened?

I m on here most of the time I m at home, leave it on and check it from time to time. No more tv for me, lol....all the drama is here.

It's addictive and conforting and ls'rs are great ppl

Welcome to the forum, a French speaking in the UK. Nice.

I am fluent in French too.

I check at the office hourly and always lurking while at home

So unpoetic...so damn true. Nothing like a good dose of logic to get the happy fairies fleeing!

I'm ashamed to admit that I've been on LS today for over 9 hours with a few short breaks while cooking dinner, helping with homework, and catching a few bad singers on American Idol.

Even more ashamed that I was on earlier for awhile too.

This isn't a typical day but I spend either a whole lotta time, or I don't login at all.

Once logged in, I tend to get addicted.

I really needed to vacuum today. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!

Depends on the day. If there are a number of interesting threads to me that day, then I tend to stick around longer, or like you said, if something has happened to me or if I have a question/need advice on something.

well - in the old days - we had the "hot friday threads" in the water cooler...

Man - those were some steamy sessions... I always looked forward to Fridays... what the heck happened??? oh ya, Tudor hasn't posted in a while...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hello.. My name is Lostgurl and i am an LS addict. LOL... I admit it. Usually im on at work all day, or have it minimized all day, because usually all i have to do at this time of the year is sign cheques, so LS has become a work habit.

LS has become a home habit as well, i might as well just put the TV in the girls room, because i only use it on tuesday night's to watch House, and to see how the Leaf's game is doing!

Ughhh god where has my social life gone?

Posted

I'm usually on here for a hour or so through out the day between classes, some days I don't log on at all... but today I was snowed in all day so I have been on here the majority of the day... I did do a few other things but I keep ending up back here.

Thank god I'm not the only one whose social life is waning!

I've been on here at work and at home for days now. Maybe it's the "new" thing for me to addicted too...I've already had cigarettes...chocolate biscuits...my MM...

It's so so refreshing to know there's a place where I can talk to people in a similar situation to myself, I don't talk to many of my friends about MM for fear of judgement. Luckily I've got a few of my best friends who open their ears any time of the day...and now I've got LS. Hooray!

Today has been even worse! Tomorrow I really gotta lay off LS and do something productive. Like that vacuuming.

But the other side of my brain feels that today was productive indeed, attempting to ease the hearts and minds of so many deserving people. And getting some nice laughs in the process as well!

This is like a drug and what I have discovered is that I really need a better computer chair. I'm up to two sofa throw pillows and it still isn't soft enough.

I'm a recent addict too. But I found that this helps me get through those rough days... which is obviously the point of this forum.

Lol, it's like the Princess and the Pea on my computer chair too, DDL

Ho-hum, I need to go to bed and get to work, my addiction to LS is making me lose sleep. I have unironed clothes still...oh dear! :D

I knew there was a reason I bought a laptop... I can sit in bed and be on LS all day... well when I am not at school or work anyway :D

Too long! Every evening and morning lately (that's why I run late for work!). But I HAVE just broken up with my SG bf and DID bump into ex-MM this week so you could say matters of love are salient in my mind lately! Also like to comment on other's sitches which because of our voyeuristic nature as humans we really get into - don't we?

I constantly have it minmized in the corner and pop it up every few minutes. It can get bad.

jeepers! if i could I would have LS minimised all day but my PC screen is in full view of everyone else unfortunately otherwise I would. i have a few stolen moments of LS updates during my lunchbreaks but that is it unfortunately. mornings and nights it is!

Hello, I'm in the UK too.

I usually open up LS when I get time in the morning, and read everything new on OM/OW... and close it when I've finished responding. Usually. But sometimes if I have a slow day or I'm feeling particularly in the mood for a chat I'll have the site minimised and also come back in the evening... Some days there just aren't enough posts to respond to... I find that quite frustrating :lmao:

Actually what I hate is that I can't just go spreading my wisdom all over the rest of the site too, as an OW's point of view is really not required  ... probably just as well as I'm here enough anyway.

Basically I need a life... tra la la :bunny:

Need a life - snap!

Well, we need your wisdom more on OW/OM forum anyway Frannie, been reading your posts and it's people like you that really give a great insight and support mechanism to so many people. Who needs other forums?? lol

I'm also interested in where people come from - all over the world, all with a similar problem in common. Thats globalisation for you, lol :D

Well, you have more of a life than I do! I get the same frustration when the threads I'm following, and the new ones, don't give me enough to respond to. But get around! Just last night I posted on the OM/OW for the first time. It was interesting to read, as I'm a voyeur myself!

But today, I REALLY am going to push that vacuum around! I have laundry washing, and I'm letting last nights dishes soak right now!

I DO feel productive, I DO feel productive......

Ah, don't do your vacuuming DDL, you'll make me feel guilty for not doing my ironing!

I'm open to letting it go, but just for ONE more day!

On a side note to Frannie. You actually answered my OM/OW questions post! Is this the start of a symbiotic relationship? I feed your need for something to post to, you feed mine? ;)

After I satisfy my intrigue with affairs, maybe next time I'll venture onto the gender and sexual identity threads. You can certainly learn a lot about human behavior here. (I don't mean to imply that people and their issues are here simply for my education or entertainment.) I've been staying on subjects I have experience in for the most part, like breaking up, dating, marriage. There's a whole other world out there with interesting people in it.

Oh, I noticed... not sure it was of any use to you but it filled a couple of minutes for me lol.

I'm working now, really I am... *virtuous look*
