Our society as a whole still finds it far more acceptable and "normal" for a man to be into porn than for a woman to be. I would lean more towards that somewhere in his mind he is dealing with a societal norm thing.. which doesn't necessarily mean anything regarding his securities/insecurities. I find that a bit more believable than that he is super concerned about a size issue..
