So my daughter is 3 years old as of november. Her father died when she was only 2 months old. Due to the circumstances he never saw her. But in the last year she has been asking about him and asking for him. I just recently started seeing a wonderful man. But she is being so mean to him. She doesn't listen to him and growls at him. She won't let him touch her and gets very upset when I say we are going to his house or he is coming over. Now her daycare tells me that she has been screaming for her daddy. She tells them "my daddy is coming to get me today." She throws fits and screams "I want my daddy". It not only hurts me but hurts my boyfriend as well. I don't know what to do??

Does she realise that her real father has passed away? Have you tried to explain this to her? (As well as you can to a 3 year old.)

If she doesn't understand that Daddy can't come and get her, then it maybe adding to the issue.

When you explain to her that Daddy has passed, perhaps you can tell her he is in heaven and while he can't come for her, he watches over her everyday.

Don't expect her to accept whomever you are dating as daddy though, that takes time.

I think it is about time you tried to explain to your daughter that he has passed. Is he buried nearby? Could you take her to his burial site and let her know where he is. Do you have pictures of him? Obviously she wants to have a daddy like every other kid but she needs to know what happened to him.
