Cub Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 I have a friend who I've known for about a year or so and have grown pretty close to. The problem is, however, that I feel like I'm the only one in this friendship who really cares what happens. I'm always the one to get in contact, always the one to suggest when we hang out and always the one to get angry when I get blown off (which is often). I don't think my friend really cares much what happens and if I was to just stop trying to start contact our friendship would just die. I know I probably come off as needy or something but it just pisses me off that I'm the only one investing anything into this friendship. It gets tiring knowing that I'm expendable in my friend's eyes. Sometimes it's just little things that will piss me off too like when we're talking on aim and I all the sudden find myself talking to my computer because my friend decided to just go off and play video games or get on the phone right in the middle of a conversation. (My friend's a popular person, I prefer to keep to myself. People are too twitchy;) ). Anyway, is there anything I can do about this one sided friendship or should I just let it die?
Rewind Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 let it die...if they really want you as a friend they will show it
vanessabg Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 I think Rewind!is right and let it die and then see what happened.
