whichwayisup Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Style up your hair abit, moose it up baby and make it look abit messy! Turn your head abit to the side and give a little sexy smile. You're a cutie and I'm sure many men would love to date ya.
Mezzi Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Hi Paris38, I am just seeing your picture and I like it. I think that you should instead take a picture with a wall as the background or a picture instead of a couch that appears slanted in the picture. In my opinion you are smiling maybe you could straighten you hair though or dye it brown? I like the picture though and you dont look like 38 imo, hope you meet nice men online

I like the picture though and you dont look like 38 imo, hope you meet nice men online I think the hair color should stay as it is, but a different background is a good suggestion. I agree that she does not look 38. This may sound weird, but judging by your pic., I would have guessed that you are a teacher. You have the teacher look.
Mezzi Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 That's true The Riddler she does have a teacher look. She kind of looks like an English teacher to me Paris38, maybe you can put on a necklace or chain too if that's your style.
Pyro Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 If I could, I would drop the "the" from my name. It sounds funny when people refer to me as "The Riddler".
Mezzi Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I love Batman as in the show Batman that had Adam West starring, The Riddler and Penguin were the best. Sadly FX and Tvland no longer show it its Dont drop the THE
Pyro Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I love Batman as in the show Batman that had Adam West starring, The Riddler and Penguin were the best. Sadly FX and Tvland no longer show it its Dont drop the THE Lucky for you, I can't drop it, unless I open up a new account. I am more for the Joker and myself. Michael Keaton and Christian Bale, IMO, played a much better Batman.
ls3360 Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 A guy from match.com actually contacted me that I needed to go to New York and get away from the midwestern hair style, lol. I am in your target audience and your photo looks great. Your hair is good and doesn't need NY'izing. You can experiment with smiling, but don't agonize too much about it. As I said, the photo is good. Now it's what you say that will close the deal. :-) If you've got a great personality, you'll knock 'em dead. :-) J.
Mazellan Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Paris, I think you are beautiful, and I would contact you from that photo. Online dating photos are often dreadful, it has taken me about 6 tries to get mine right. A few glasses of wine at a dinner party does the trick, you often end up with a genuine happy smile. Ask your dinner party guests for help. Worked for me! (she was originally a date, but we have since become friends. We have helped each other optimize our online dating profiles!)
Porn_Guy Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 A few glasses of wine at a dinner party does the trick, you often end up with a genuine happy smile. people shouldn't have to liquor themselves up to give a genuine happy smile. come on.
Craig Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Paris you look great, cute, hot...you have all the good stuff. I don't know all the jargon but my suggestions would be to experiment with the angle of the shot, do what whichwayisup suggested with the mouse and messing up your hair a bit, go one shade darker on the foundation, reduce your under eye eyeliner by about 3/4, use a light rose/burgundy eyeshadow, use a similar color of lipstick but just a touch darker, use some light underlighting to reduce the chin shadow, use a photo editor to eliminate the red eye and experiment with lighting to get a good shot of your eye color. I think the under eye eyeliner is over powering and diminishes the smile that I think is there. It's hard to tell with such a small picture. You might even consider a professional makeover with the goal to get the look you want. Your photo is a good one and probably would get a lot of attention just as it is and yeah you look like a teacher.
magichands Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Your photo is a good one and probably would get a lot of attention just as it is and yeah you look like a teacher. It's such a pity that the old spanking tease doesn't apply any more. Damn modern psychology.
Mazellan Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 people shouldn't have to liquor themselves up to give a genuine happy smile. come on. Well, you don't have to "liquor yourself up" but it's fun. All in moderation.
Walk Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I don't know all the jargon but my suggestions would be to experiment with the angle of the shot, do what whichwayisup suggested with the mouse and messing up your hair a bit, go one shade darker on the foundation, reduce your under eye eyeliner by about 3/4, use a light rose/burgundy eyeshadow, use a similar color of lipstick but just a touch darker, use some light underlighting to reduce the chin shadow, use a photo editor to eliminate the red eye and experiment with lighting to get a good shot of your eye color. Wow Craig. I'm impressed. I never knew you had that in you.
SmoochieFace Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 You are not going to get her in the sack with those comments Mr Porn... Uh, PARIS was looking for 'honest' responses. Mr. PORN GUY gave her one. Not that I agree with it but... Anyway, she is pretty but a genuine smile would do wonders indeed.
nicki Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 You are very pretty! Everyone's suggestions are great, especially Craig's, which I didn't expect.... There's some untapped talent. I agree with what everyone says. You have a strong jaw, beautiful lips, eyes, etc...(In fact, you look a lot like my sister.) My sister also had your current hair color and now she is a darker brown. It really suits her and makes her look even more gorgeous. What do you think about going with a darker hair color a bit longer hairstyle (like 2 inches longer?) You have a nice long neck and could handle more length. I would also consider taking your picture outdoors, maybe with your dog. Have a friend take a bunch of candid photos while you play with your dog in the grass. Then pick the one that makes you feel happy to look at. I also like taking photos where I am not facing the camera and then turn towards the camera and smile big (with teeth showing.) It always looks like the picture taking was a surprise, with a playful, happy smile as the end result. Good luck!
riobikini Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Paris, I'm a cripple when it comes to what to do with someone's appearance (I don't even know what to do with my own) -but maybe a sleeker look in a hairstyle to help you ease past the growing-out phase would make *you* feel better about your appearance (and that's really where it's at in the long run: how *you* feel about *you*). I agree with the others who state you have a stunnng profile and lovely skin. I am also familiar with the weight loss issue during stressful times: I was born with genes that have a tendancy to keep me in a struggle keeping weight on -which is strange to some who have the opposite problem. Since I'm at a loss as to what is absolute cutting-edge in fashion and make-up -and normally just take cues from this or that random info- I can only suggest to you what I do to get updated from time to time. I offer myself up to the Diva-gods at the mall counters to make-over. I always wind up looking like their Mini-Me when they're done -but I get a few ideas I can actually use later. Good luck with your dating efforts! -Rio
