chill chic Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Awhile back I was seeing this guy that told me he wanted me to be his gf. I told him I wasn't ready yet, because I was dating other guys at the time. Well, one night we out for a friend's birthday party (his cousin/my friend) There was this guy there from my work that the b-day girl is friends with from work too, but he didn't know anyone there at the party except for me & my friend. So..I was just trying to make him feel comfortable, so I was talking with him for some of the night. Then we all started drinking, & while we were out, I was around that guy most of the time, & because the guy that likes me was acting shy. Anyway, we were at the club & I was being friendly with that guy friend, & apparently the guy that likes me saw that, called my phone & left a message calling me a sl*t. I called him the next day to yell at him, & I could tell he was upset w/himself for calling me that. Ever since then I haven't really talked to him (4 months) & now he called me & wants to take me out. So...what should I do? Should I forget & forgive? Why did he call me that?
freakygal78 Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Man that is a tough call - frankly I'm not too partial to ANY guy who would use that word in reference to a woman. I have been called something to that effect by an ex-bf during an argument in reference to the fact that I'd had more sexual partners than him before. Of course I took him back but then again I also took him back after he cheated on me subsequently so this is more demonstrative of my lack of self esteem at the time. I think mainly it is a sign of insecurity (and in your case, jealousy). You have to ask though if you want to be with a man who uses such chauvanistic and disrespectful terms in reference to a woman. It may have been hurt talking since you didn't seem to notice him. Not sure but I'd consider this one carefully.
TheDC Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 You aren't even his GF and he is getting all jealous and calling you a s*ut. This is not a good sign. Imagine what it will be like if you were actually his GF. He'd probably fly into a rage at just the thought of you talking to another guy. He called you a s*ut for just talking to a guy for crying out loud. I say steer clear of this guy his is trouble with a capital T. He doesn't deserve another chance, since he has already shown his cards.
phyrespryte Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Nope. There's no reason to put up with that kind of name calling. You're young and there are plenty of guys out there. Find one with some manners and without all that anger.

Probably not a good idea. He got all jealous and called you names and you two were no where near an official couple. Good thing his true colors came out before it went any farther between you two.
2sunny Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 In a word NO! life is too short to be treated like sh*t from anyone - much less a guy who is supposed to care for you...
