Tell us some more details if you are able!
frannie Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Well you should proceed in the other direction... but what will you do..? If you have time, I'd suggest searching this board for similar stories 'love boss' etc. Its a very sticky situation to get yourself into, mainly because trying to end it and walking away when it all goes wrong is incredibly difficult. Sorry I can't post more at this time, been gassing away on other threads. But please do a search, and post more about your situation.
WonderWater Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 I agree, get out of the situation as fast as you can. This is almost the exact situation with my MM and I. He was my "deputy" boss and I was never a direct report of his. Despite that, an ethics report was still filed and is on our permanent records. I lost some of my leadership responsiblities and he was driven out of his job and lost all of his leadership responsibilities and his title. As it currently stands, he was moved to a group that will be cutting back soon, and he is a high candidate for being on the chopping block. Not only that, but my MM was very well-respected in our team. Most of my co-workers resent his replacement since they feel he drove my MM out.
