Brookiedoll87 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 My boyfriend and ihave been off and on for about two years. I love him with everything i have but sometimes i dont think he loves me like he use to. I take him where he needs to go because i am a little older than him and he doesnt have his lisence yet...but anyways...i take him where he needs to go, i help him with whatever i can, i am head over heels in love with this boy. A lot of things have changed though. He doesnt seem to care about me anymore?? All he wants to do is go over to his friends house, or be with them 24/7 he always has an attitude towards me and it hurts. It hurts relly bad to know just how much i do care about him and then when i tell him all these things it doesnt bother him at all. How can i get through to him?? How can i make him see that i do love him more than anything?? I just feel like he doesnt appriciate anything i do for him anymore. He expects me to do these things for him and treat him like hes the best thing in the world...so if i stop doing so much for him, would that make him want to be around me more?? I just feel like i am the only one in the relationship anymore. I feel completely and utterly alone.
VandGsMom Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Brooke, but SO often in relationships involving those just coming into adulthood, things fizzle for no apparent reason. I think it has something to do with the fact that so many changes are occuring during this time, so many choices to be made. But what it boils down to is that he is using you to meet his transportation needs. You are not his mommy or his chauffeur and he needs to become aware of that. Once you have made him very clear on that, you need to bottom line it for him that unless he becomes the second adult member of the relationship, he will soon be single. If that dosen't fix things, then you should be realizing by now that things probably don't need to be fixed. Good luck.
