boshemia Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the website secondlife.com, thought it has a lot of features the sexual aspect of it seems to be a big draw. It's like a virtual fantasy island, anything you want to happen can. BDSM, threesomes, alternative sexuality. My husband and I are cool as far as porn and such goes. As long as we are both honest about it then nobody gets hurt. I was thinking this site could be cool for the married folks looking for variety, I showed him scenes of people dancing barefoot on the beach, riding horses, and even exploring some serious sexual fantasies... then the thought occured to me that if I was still with my ex I would have blocked this site right away. This could be bad news for people struggling with porn addiction, the graphics are not just realistic they are amazing and the interactive features make it a serious draw. My ex was a full on porn addicted fiend, as a result our marriage had lots of sex... I just wasn't involved in much of it. I've been here long enough to know that at any given time there will be at least three porn/masturbation threads running, but I've not seen this mentioned and found nothing in the search. How do you feel about the possibility of such explicit cheating? Would you consider it cheating? I can see the upside (it looks like an awesome place to share with someone you truly love) but the downside frightens me a little... any thoughts?

Porn is one thing, but where you're interacting with another person, it's completely different. I'd not say I'd be against it necessarily, but I'd like to know it was going on, and be involved myself. No secret little relationships, however anonymous the participants may be. Hmm... then again, I feel pretty much the same with porn... I'm fine with it, but don't go doing it behind my back, especially if it starts replacing intimacy in the relationship.

If your looking into gettting into something both you and your SO can participate in, Try http://www.knightonlineworld.com/. It's a MMORPG that's about creating a character and gaining levels, equiping your character, and earning coin's (called noah's). Oh, go human (Elmorad) Orc's (Karus) are good for 2 things killing and firewood lol. You get 3 days of premium for free and Bronze premium is only $9.95 a month. Cheaper than Second Life and the PvP (player vs player) is the best in all the MMORPG'S i've played.

If someone is into a person they will do all they can to get to know them as soon as possible because they will want to be with them. Like anything else in life if we are interested in something we make the time. We spend time with the person. We get to know them. If the other person does not have that "want" or "drive" chances are you are not that special to the other person. It's not so much it takes time to know someone rather it takes spending time with the person in order to know them. There is a difference. If one is too busy to spend time with the person and claims it takes time to know them that is a sure sign it's time to move on.
