Very good for you for getting out! But If you don't mind me asking...would you sleep on the couch for 15 years?

Exactly, if he hasn't left by now, he ain't leaving! He is still getting something from the marriage that keeps him there. Doesn't matter why he stays, fact is, he stays. And as a matter of fact, the W stays as well. You never know what's going on behind closed doors and what the real truth is unless you are there.

Obviously not, two years was plenty!:D

My point is that it is possible to be married and not sleep in the same bed or have sex with their MP for a considerable amount of time...I wasn't saying at all that he was telling the truth...Especially if he has children under age 15...(which I don't know how old they are in this scenario, just saying)...

Yes, I understand. My point was as the previous posters have already said. That one statement though, seemed to have been the basis on why it might be believable or acceptable that he has a "need" for another woman.

Sometimes, the obvious is right in front of us. It depends on what we choose to believe. We can pick away at the reasons that one might stay in a "dead" relationship for that long whether it be lack of sex, the kids, or anything else that we may want to choose to justify an A.

In the end, what does it all matter?

Please be careful w/ yourself--a man with that kind of money and power may have the tools when it comes to dumping you not too nicely when he isn't getting what he wants!

All is not "pretty" in power-land when one does not have equal footing...it's a whole other game over there in that scene...

Another reason to be most careful is that the MM and his W are a necessary and proven publically united front...one may not wish to contend w/ the out come of that if "they" or "their camp/ spin-doctors" decide the need to "light in to you"...

I appreciate the other viewpoints, thank you. I completely agree that high-profile men can be arrogant jerks. I've dated a ballplayer and a guy that has a movie in the theatres right now (both A listers) - and yes, they're a little too content with themselves (I tried to let the ballplayer go and he just wouldn't get the hint). However, this guy is different: confident, yet not cocky. I'm reasonably well-known and he said he was suprised I wasn't arrogant.

The MM @ large and his wife are in an arranged marriage (per their religion), that is why they are not intimate, they never where except for the conception of their children.

Again, I do not want him to leave his family. We are together 4-5 hours everyday and that works well with me (I like my space).

I agree, but we actually do have equal footing when considering society's values (I have more in one area where he has less, and visa versa, hence a pretty level balance). In addition, he is actually more jealous of me being with other men since he knows I have the right to do whatever I want since he's married.

Wait a friggin minute here...you mean to tell me that this religious man is entitled to a mistress? Come on, if this was the case then the wife should be cool with the arrangement and you all could discuss it over libation!

That's what he tells you. Read some other threads - Many MM tell their OW's that they're NOT having sex with their wives. Maybe I am wrong, due to the religious aspect of his marriage, but remember, he's lying to his wife, he's capable of lying to you as well.
