mrhat Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I am a shy person by nature; I always have been and always will be. The girl I'm semi-with knows this. The only thing I'm having difficulty with is conversation. The first problem arises in actually starting the conversation (I don't know what to say to spark a convo), and the second problem arises in that she doesn't always give me answers I can expand on. For example, "Me: how was your day? "Her: oh it was pretty good", "Me: oh that's great, what happened?" "Her: oh, nothing." "..silence.." I don't know if this is relevant or not, but we talk to each other a LOT on MSN. Probably 7 hours a day on bad days, 10 hours on good days. Any tips for me?
Aloros Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Maybe try teasing her to get her to speak up a little more. Instead of just letting the conversation drop, you could say "Nothing happened at all? Wow, that does sound like a pretty good day." She may just be shy, or not really interested, despite the online conversations. I used to play an online game and chat with this guy a good deal, but when it came to dealing with him in person...I had nothing to say. We just didn't click.
