He just got me a cookie bouquet... thank God I won't know what I'm missing!!!!

Wow. 5 hours at $2/$4 Hold'Em...... I'm fried. -tp should never have hit the craps table after the poker tourney.

Author Teacher's Pet Posted December 28, 2006 Author Posted December 28, 2006 lol yeah we did. Yesterday I got to play in a tournament in Atlantic City at the Showboat. Nothing fancy, just the regular daily tourney they have. For my first time, I didn't do too bad. I think I was like the 5th person knocked out at my table. I held my ground against some people who obviously had a LOT more experience than me, so it was a good poker education for me. It was kinda neat to sit at a table in a real casino (as opposed to playing in someone's living room) and actually say the words "....Raise to $4000...." The first time someone went All In against me, I almost crapped myself, I was so nervous LOL...I let him have the pot. I was sooooooo intimidated Typical rookie that I am I wound up playing a $2/$4 Limit cash game later on for about 5 hours and actually wound up ahead, so I think I'm comfy now. If I didn't get my ass kicked in craps, I would have actually made a profit for the day. At least now that I have a full day of actual casino poker experience, next time I go down I'll be able to concentrate better, and not feel so "intimidated" by players, most of them probably intimidated themselves! -tp not quite ready for the WSOP...... yet.
