To all those of you who are the "thinkers" and "feelers" in your relationships, who overanaylze your all your so's actions, who want things to "move forward" with people who are less willing, and especially those of you who are having trouble getting over a breakup or the fact that someone just isn't as into you as you are into them (there are lots of you on LS)....

Play starcraft!!!

My brother showed me how to a couple of days ago and I have been completely addicted ever since. Today I realized that starcrack helped me get over my other addiction, the exbf. I completley don't care!

I used to be on LS all the time, reading other people's posts and constantly comparing my own relaitonship to theirs, or else miserable that exbf never seemed to give a thought to ours.

Now I'm on battle.net building gateways. That's WAY more fun!

What's even better is that now I feel like I UNDERSTAND exbf. He was a gamer and I had always felt like he picked his games over me. Now I get why.

Starcraft > Life.

Any over starcrafters out there?

LOL people still play that game. Try World of Warcraft, you basically have another life on that game (I dont play though). People get addicted to that game and have no other lives.

But it is apparently very good....as seen on southpark :)

i've heard and seen several relationships go dull because the guy plays WOW too much. WOW costs a monthly fee, but starcraft is free.

you should try Warcraft 3 - dota. fun game and its addicting... especially when you destroy the other team and trash talk.

Not to rain on the parade here.. but building an addiction to something, in order to avoid a different addiction seems a bit unhealthy.

ahh but addictions come in all different flavours....some much more detrimental than others...being addicted to choclate is much different than being addicted to heroin

True. But Starcraft is fun. I never got into battle.net, but I did play it alot with just the CD. Then I got into Diablo II, but I've stopped that because it is unreasonably hard on Hell level. I didn't like WOW as much though. When I was in grad school someone had a hack for it and installed it on all the grad students machines. When 5 pm hit, it was an insane network gaming department. Then it started to creep in before 5. I think it cost some people their PhD's....

Of course =). I know this. But at least right now I'm not depressed anymore, and I'm doing something I enjoy.

Great post, lol! I haven't tried starcraft but you should also try City of Heroes (CoH) and or City of Villains (CoV). I was completely addicted to CoH for a long time. Creating a superhero/supervillain in your own image and playing him or her is a blast. The game came out a few years ago but it is still going strong and has a large community.

I'm a gamer as well- my resume includes D2 (also quit as well, Hell level is very difficult), WOW, SC, EQ, etc...

Now I'm a xbox360 addict....

Oblivion rules!

Imagine if they ever put that game online- I'm definitely up for that. It won an award for being the most addictive game- I have already logged 80 hours on that game and I'm not even 1/5 there. Excellent game, I highly recommend this for anyone who's into rpg's on xbox360.
