ocset Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Sadly one of my best friends passed away on xmas eve. She was only 25, and died from an asthma attack. I knew her for about seven years, it took me about 15 months to build up the courage to ask her out. We dated briefly but it didnt work out and we were friends after that, but I still held a torch for her. We chatted on MSN on friday and joked about my birthday coming up and about going out over Christmas. I can't imagine what her family are going through and I can't believe that she has gone. She was the first girl to ever break my heart, but she didnt do it maliciously. I will miss her greatly and it was very upsetting ealrier when i went onto MSN and saw her name in my contacts and in my phone. God bless her and may she rest in peace.

This must be pretty hard – and weird – being Christmas. do you have someone to talk to there if you need to share your grief? Or even be with her family if you got to meet them? hugs, quank

Or even be with her family if you got to meet them? hugs, quank Yes thanks, quankanne, I took a card to her family yesterday and spoke briefly but didnt like to impose on their grief. i am finding it difficult to cope & come to terms with it, but I guess i have to. We were joking a few days previously about doing stuff for my upcoming birthday and going out over the xmas period.

As someone else said, it's strange to hear of someone dying of such a thing and even worst when they're so young. Hugs to you:love:
