After my LTR ended a few months ago, I am completely new to dating / flirting / etc. The other night I met a girl at a friend's party, and we seemed to really click. But shortly after we met, our respective friends were leaving to different places, and we left separately. She left a bit before me, and looked at me in a shy but definitely looking at me type fashion multiple times as she was leaving (from across the room, it was REALLY crowded).

Anyway, I never got or asked for her number. But when we were talking I did find out she graduated from the same college a year after I did. I went on to our college's alumni website and found her there, and see that I could send her an e-mail through that site.

But is that a creepy thing to do, sending an unsolicited email, from some website where I had to look her up? I wish I asked for her number instead. Not sure if/when I would ever see her again.

Ask one of your friends, the people you came in with who knew her for her number

Or you could tell her that you asked someone at the party for it and they gave it to you, because she really made a big impression on you and you wanted to meet her even though they left so early

But whatever you do don't say you got it off the internet

I don't think that's creepy. She signed up on that website, as an alumni, clearly to get in touch with people. She joined knwoing that anyone could access her email. I doubt she's going to think you're creepy. PLus, You'll find out quickly if she's not interested. Not the end of the world.

I've looked people up through classmates.com and the alumni association and contacted them. In this day and age, it's comparable to looking it up in the phone book. Good Luck :)
