Freedom Now Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Anybody been thinking about what their New Year's Resolution is going to be this year? Mine is to be better, stronger, and healthier (emotionally and physically). The new year to me is a chance to start all over again and I am gonna wipe 2006 away and start fresh with 2007. Clean slate..... How about the rest of you? Any resolution thoughts?
Sassy Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 My New Year's resolution will be to be careful who I trust ! I am also hoping to ring in the New Year in the bed making a baby!!!!!
pureinheart Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 2006 was a year of great change and discovery of a framented past I did not fully understand....the pieces are all being fit together...The year of implimentation for me. 2007, those things will be established and for the first time in my life will be walking in the things I know to be true, that have been gathered over the years. I will walk in a confidence that I've never known. Many miracles for the next year.
melodymatters Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I'm not being sarcastic here : My New Years res, is to MAKE BETTER ROMANTIC CHOICES. Thats it, period. Everything else has always been easy for me, but if there's a room full of 100 guys and 1 is an a**hole, guess who I'LL fall for ?!?!

bonehead Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Nope, none. Why set myself up for failure? ( or Im perfect. one of the two )
Pyro Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 My resolution is to not make the same stupid mistakes that I made this past year.
bonehead Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 My resolution is to not make the same stupid mistakes that I made this past year. New ones are much more fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao:
Pyro Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Fun wasn't the word that I had in mind, but it does sounds alot better.
whichwayisup Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 My wish won't happen because my hockey team is cursed by the ghosts of the past..........(Hi Riddler!)
johan Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I resolve to be a total coward around women, in spite of the fact that I'm not that shy. I resolve to waste another year working too much and living too little. I resolve to neglect my family. I resolve to live like a recluse and amuse myself doing solitary things that slowly turn me into a weird person. I resolve to have little motivation at work, and to show up every Monday tired, grouchy and ready to tear the head off of anyone who speaks to me. I resolve to derail every thread I contribute to with sarcasm and tangential remarks about the government and the economy. Based on what I achieved this year, I think this is all doable. But if I break a few of these resolutions, I think I'll still be able to call it a good year. Here's to 2007. Let's hope it passes as quickly as 2006! We've got nothing but time, right?
Pyro Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 My wish won't happen because my hockey team is cursed by the ghosts of the past..........(Hi Riddler!) Hi WWIU:laugh: They sometimes do show some signs of life. The other night they spanked my Rangers. What was it, 9-2 or something?

NO MORE AHOLES, right ladies!
Double D Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Mine is to start to be fitter and to get a six pack. To find a long lasting loving relationship. To focus on my future more and try new things. Everyone dies but not everyone TRULY LIVES!
Guest Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 mine is to never feel that i NEED something or someone to the point of relentless pursuit. i once needed closure from someone - i found it within myself. i once needed forgiveness from someone to battle an addiction - i faced it myself. i once hide from things i believed were shameful - i disallowed that emotion in my life. i once stopped seeing people as just what we are - human and projected faults to others - i refuse to do that. 2007 for me is a new life, new beginning - it actually has already started. i am a go getter - lol
Pyro Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Mine is to start to be fitter and to get a six pack. To find a long lasting loving relationship. To focus on my future more and try new things. Everyone dies but not everyone TRULY LIVES! Just like what Morgan Freeman said in Shawshank Redemption: "Get busy living or get busy dying". Maybe Tim Robbins said it first.
Kinger25 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 My NYR's are to: 1. Lose my beer belly. I've managed to obtain a little one through a bit too much wine drinking this year!! 2. I WILL get engaged to him this year. I will I will I will. I'm gonna ask him on valentines day if he hasn't already asked me by then ! 3. Be nicer to my fellow vehicle drivers ( I get terrible road rage - its NOT attractive !!) 4. Work harder at the office (stop spending all afternoon gassing on L.S!!) 5. Quit smoking (but I have to lose the belly first cause you start eating loads when you quit) Not gonna happen is it !! 6. Experiment with sex with BF. He's really adventurous but I am quite shy in the bedroom. I'm gonna get better though !! Thats it
bonehead Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Everyone dies but not everyone TRULY LIVES! I have a T shirt that has close to that saying on it. Everyone who lives dies, but not everyone who dies has lived. My motto.
blueyes77 Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Mine is to build my company and forget about men for the whole year
Meaplus3 Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 What do I resolve? Well first- work on my Self Esteem wich has been crushed by my "A". Second- While learning to love myself again devote my emotional energy to my H and children.Third-Keep up NC with MM and get him out of my heart. Last-( not as important as above) stay in great shape like I currently am. AP:)
