ash519 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 So, here it goes: My friend is mad at me AGAIN! Her bf of a bit over a year is out in another state across the country. Anyway, she is to be getting engaged this coming Christmas (somewhere in that area of time) and it is all she talks about. It's not that she talks about it so much, it's that she knows every detail about it. She knows he got the ring, she knows pretty much when it is going to happen. So the other day she calls and tells me she is mad at him because she checked his voicemail (weird) and her father was on there saying "i'm just returning your call." So, she is mad at the bf because he wont say why her father was calling and what it was about. We both know it has to do with the engagement so I was like "you are wiping the excitement out of this! Let it be. The plans for this have nothing to do with you, you know it's happening Christmas." She was like "He'll be home for 3 days by then, he better not make me wait that long!" And i was like "it's really not up to you." So, she is mad that i said what i said. I know she is. SHe hasnt said it, but she is for sure. She got off the phone quite abruptly and text me cancelling plans the next day. Was i so wrong for what i said??? It's great and all but she is controlling every last detail.
My Fair Katie Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 What a fun bridezilla in the making. Good luck with that one.

Some people only hear what they want to hear. She got ticked off at you for telling her something she didn't want to hear. Don't feel bad, its on her not you. And if shes going to get mad at you for telling her so, then maybe shes not a true friend. She sounds immature.
stillafool Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Sounds like she's doing you a favor. It would drive me crazy to have a friend going on and on like that. I feel sorry for her future fiancee. If I can't be honest with my friends and vice versa, they aren't my friends.
