CaliMan2 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Fallen head over heels for this girl as she did for me. She was only in my area for a short time and she had to head back home, which she did. I flew up there on a spur of the moment decision and surprised her by visiting her one weekend. She made the decision that she was going to move to be with me and chuck her whole life in where she lives at the moment. We talk before work, lunch breaks, and after work on the phone (massive phone bills). One morning I only got to speak to her for 10min then at lunchtime she decided to have lunch with her people from work so I didn't get to talk to her then and on this particular day I knew I wouldn't be able to get to talk to her much after work. I was missing her so I asked her if she wanted me to come up and visit her this weekend and she said no, she wants to pack. So I got the ****s and started whinging about not being able to talk and not being able to see her and not understanding why she didn't want me to come up. I look at things as though we are in love, we should be together, then work out everything after, money, house, car etc. She looks at it as though, we are in love, lets work out money, house, car, then move together. After we sorted out our disagreement she said that she was still hurt by the fact that I blamed her for not being able to see her etc. I just wish I wasn't so insecure and was a bit stronger and able to cope with this better as she seems to cope better than I do. Without trying to make it sound like a sob story, my parents were divorced very young and ive recently realised that I've been insecure my whole life about relationships. The only thing I feel bad about at the moment is blaming her when I shouldnt've been. She is under enough pressure as it is with moving etc - none of her family or friends approve and her I am laying my insecurities on her.

She is moving to be with you, giving up on everything for you, giving up on her family, friends, work, basically everything. You said you have known her for only a short time, you don't state how short, but by the sound of it she may feel very upset as she would like her parents aproval. Maybe meet with her parents, let them get to know you? Let them know their daughter is in good hands with the right guy before she moves in with you? It can be hard on a some parents when they do not know who their son/daughter is dating. And especially it being further away relationship and her moving in with you pretty quick can be a bit of a problem for them. I think best thing to do is to meet the parents, make a good impression, make sure they realise their daughter is in safe and good hands. I don't know though, best to wait for some more advice before jumping to what I have said .
pennyjosix Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Look, right now y'all don't live in the same place so both of your schedules will not always perfectly align so that you can talk a lot in one day. Sometimes a day will go by when you don't talk much at all. I know because I'm in a relationship of almost 8 months. We broke up over the communication barrier, but luckily I wised up. She's about to move to be with you. You will probably see her daily. Be patient with her right now. Things are hectic.
