Talk about a quarter life crises.. Well back in high school I was really shy but at the same time I had a pretty crazy life. It was fun, but it just didn't last long enough.. maybe 5 years. And then I went thru some sort of repressed depression episode or whatever and just totally withdrew.

So I lost contact with all those friends. Most of them are still hanging out to this day, now they're all in their late 20's/early 30's, and they still party but I'm sure they've grown up a bit. I been away from them too long to go back, nor would I want to go back.

Now I only meet people at work mostly. All are totally not into that stuff, so that's out of the question. But I don't want to resort to finding younger college age friends. What I want is to find older people like myself who are still into this type of stuff. But what I find is that most older folks who still are like that, they tend to do those things with friends they've known since those days. So for me, as the new guy.. it just never feels the same.

What's a good way to sneak back into the scene, but doing so in a way that's not like a loser old guy trying to relive his past kind of way.. And btw, I could easily pass for 24 and I think I'm pretty cool but I'm just still the same shy guy as I was 10 years ago..

Friends are highly overrated, the term associates is more suiting.

The people from your past have matured just as you have.

The cool thing is … you know them.

The best hurdle you could take is the one back in time- to your past.

Seek out those people you said you would not want to rejoin.

They are exactly what you seek. Ask yourself what you fear most about doing it?

Just suck it up and turn around. They will probably be delighted to see you (all :D smiles) and want to share past experiences as well as catch up on life with you.

You know where it’s at… just go for it.

We all grow up, we all mature… lol … well most of us do.

Go back and find what you’re missing.

Good Luck.
