I will say, though, that before I met the ex, I had gone two and a half years without sex, and I do believe that after this amount of time, both your vision and judgement gets clouded. You could go out to a New Year's eve party and meet some nice hot chickita there and start your 2007 with a bang, you just never know. Kind of like interviewing/looking for a job. They make you drink this stuff the night before so your colon is intirely empty ... no crap..

Between my ex of 4 years and my now ex of 1 year. ( 3 and 2 exes back, so to speak lol. neither are the current ex). I've found that once you have sex with someone that you really feel a connection with, then you start really feeling like you need that closeness again. With my recent ex, or whatever status he is, FWB perhaps, I've found myself missing that aspect of a relationship a lot more. So maybe that's why the 3 years before were easier. He had been my first, and things in that arena were a little bit of why we split, so it became a bit of a sore spot for me at that time. After him I wasn't sure I'd ever care about doing it again. Now, well that's a different story. As for NYE, you never know what will happen. We are going out to a local restaurant/bar. Plenty of people will be there. So while you're not optimistic of meeting within our own groups ranks, you just never know...

Guest Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 i know a woman and she told me about an ex that called her up and wanted to 'see' her, she quickly found out it was just for a booty call and because she respects herself she told him to get lost and that if she wanted that she could find someone way better or she would let BOB take care of those urges. she told me this story only after the second week of knowing her - she is special and rare. i miss her.
