educator_man Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 ok I have a relationship/dating question and because I know there are women who frequent this site it would be good as a male to get a female or anyone can chime in their perspective on a situation I am in. So I have this job that I am at 3 days a week and across the hall at another company is a girl I have been interested in for months, finally got the guts to ask her out yesterday and she said yes, gave me her number and we planned a dinner for Sunday, but no fixed time as she said to call her or she will call me. Now for some stupid inexplicable reason (yes I know it might be because I am male hehehe) yesterday I decide to text message her just to say hey how are ya, and today I called and just left a message saying hi, I am totally terrified now that I have leapt into potential stalker territory for which I totally am not, now I have to explain that I called during work hours and this gal is an architect who works for a company that works her to the bone, she has 4 cell phones for work, she has not text or messaged back, now my question is have I officially gone into stalker or annoying guy territory or am I just inventing problems where there are none as I am really interested in dating her? thank you for reading my rant:D
norajane Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Dude, don't do stuff like that. If you were going to call her, you should have called her to set a time for Sunday. And stop with the texting - for someone who is really busy and working so much, she's not going to be sitting there texting all day. I don't even notice when texts come in! I don't think you did irreparable damage, but you're definitely going overboard with the contact at this point.
pureinheart Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I would think that is cool, we all love attention from people we are interested in....she gave you her #....I don't give my # in situations like that unless I'm interested....go for it!
