:eek:   I just got a x-mas card from my aunt ( my Mom's sister ) in the mail today . It wished me a happy holliday and let me know that due to circumstances (None noted) Me and my s/o were uninvited to x-mas .

This is from the same family member that invited me to thanksgiving the day after thanksgiving on the premise that they would not be home on thanksgiving and then when I called there was a t-g party with most if the family at her house. This is just too wierd , everything to do with my mom's side is weird . I don't think me and the s/o were going to go anyway , we were going to hang with my dad's family . But still , whats up with my mom's weird a$$ family sending un-invites for x-mas . It just makes me want to block all incomming calls from that side and return all mail unopened. Jeeze i wish they would just realize how strange they are and stop it.

I'm just being nosey, so feel absolutely free to not answer, but what the heck does your mom think of her sister's antics.

I mean, if it were me and it was my (albeit grown adult) kid got uninvited, I wouldn't be going to my sister's shin digs anymore.

Have a lovely Christmas without the loonies.

My mom is the looniest of loonies . I have not seen her in years . In fact i don't see my moms family much at all because my mom is whack and the rest of her family pulls strange shenanigans like this . Its just too wierd for me . Why can't people just be normal for a change ?

My best advice to you "stay away from the crazy people"

Because then we'd have nothing interesting to post about?

Just a working theory.

Girl, you had me laughing....it's so funny, but very sad. Sometimes your family can be your worse enemy...I know first hand; My mom plays ends with the middle all the time...theres always some form of drama going on...These days they are fighting over whose house dinner should be at??? Thank God I live out of state....I'm still talked about for leaving(escaping is more like it) and not coming to the family functions...The saga continues....consider yourself blessed to be uninvited;) ..Just curious though, why would your aunt do that to you????

I don't know why she would do that . But it does not surprise me , its like they are all so strange all the time . All the time . Im gonna go to my dad's redneck x-mas and shoot off guns or something instead.

There...I said it again. I say we get a party together and send all the dysfunctional family members there. Maybe on an island far far away

:lmao: That sounds safe enough:) ...If you guys get along, then that's what it's all about....You made me remember the christmas that I beat up my brother's girlfriend!! My brother gave me a leather jacket for christmas and she said "I was a spoiled b***h" How funny is that...anyway, have fun and don't get into any fights!!

I have given up myself. My father has some innate incapability to love or like his two kids simultaneously. For as long as I can remember, eithe my sister or I have been on the shyt list and he either can have a relationship with one or the other--never (well rarely) both. I just don't get it.

So, I wait for and send the required birthday cards, Christmas cards, and father's day cards--even though I really don't think of him as much of a father at all!

Do you have an ideas as to why your uninvited? Is the party still going on as far as you know.

Should send her a half shredded card and put on there "Do to circumstances, this card had you written all over it."

No j/k don't send that but it would be funny or not. I crack myself up sometimes.

People can be werid sometimes. My mothers side of the family is messed up too. My cousins father didn't even know that his own daughter was in college. And they live in the same house. What an idiot.

If it helps at all, tink, you're totally invited to come celebrate Christmas with me. Just leave your guy at home.

That's exactly why Johan "totally invited you" to cum...err come celebrate with him!

Anywho, who ever said something about that their parent(s?) couldn't get along with the two children at once..wow. I can totally relate to that. My mother has NEVER gotten along with my sister and I at the same time. For years she was the favored one and I was shyt.

Now, I'm the favored one and not sure I want to be!

Tink, you don't really care anyway so why worry about it at all? You weren't even going anyway.

My advice? Don't sweat the small stuff!

I was arguing with my parents last year, so i know what you're feeling :o

Not to scare you, but, maybe this sorta thing runs in the family, Thank God you don't have it, from the sounds of it. But hey, if they don't want you there, it's their loss not yours. Someone said stay away from the crazy people, you don't want that to rub off onto you. Someone else said send them to an Island, hopefully not to that island where all the rejected toys are at, I'd feel sorry for those poor toys!:( By the way Tink, is that your Pic? If it is, 1. Your husband may want to behave, because it looks like johan is trying to come on to ya. 2. You don't look bad at ALL!;)

Unless I knew that I had done something wrong to offend others, if I ever got uninvited to anything, that would be the last time I ever had anything to do with them. The only way I'd have anything to do with them again after that is if they apologized, and even then, it would be a long road back.

My aunt called to tell me about the x-mas party that I was uninvited to . It was very strange , I just listened .."uhhuh yes...oh thats nice" .... I could'nt believe she would uninvite me and then call to tell me how nice it was .What is wrong with these people ? She told me about her son and his wife and my gpa and gma and aunts and uncles and her daughtrer in laws family and my fav uncle all being there ...oh and she said "well everyone asked about you". Unbelievable . I told my s/o ...he was like she actually told yoiu about the party .

And you never said, "I don't think I'm too interested in hearing about a party I was uninvited to"? I would have mentioned it at least. MAybe that's just inviting more craziness though.
