On the other hand if you're both gliding along, that would be, well, smooth. (Damn, I think I've been spending too much time with some other punster...)

Even if you fell down or made a fool of your self it is just ice-skating and there is a good chance you will just laugh at eachother. I think it would be fun... oh and I like the hot chocolate idea
