IpAncA Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 There is nothing wrong or weird about going into VS by yourself to pick something out for your woman. Yeah just as long as you know their size. That's VERY important. I used to work in a retail store and this guy looked completely lost, so I ask him if he needed any help. Asked him what he was looking for and what her size was. He goes "I don't remember but she's bigger then you." O yeah that helped. Everyone's bigger then me:laugh:. Needless to say I ended up helping him but me and my coworkers sure got a laugh out of helping men look for this stuff during Christmas and Valentines Day. We especially loved the one who were talking on the phone trying to figure out what she would like. We felt bad but it sure was funny. So please guys just check her stuff and see what she wears. It's not that hard to look before you go There's nothing worse then opening something and seeing that it's just to big or to small. Go in with a plan and NOT cold turkey.
jerbear Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 How about something like this: http://www.tiffany.ca/shopping/item.aspx?sku=21247987&cid=130450&mcat=148218&menu=1&page=2 Or: http://www.tiffany.ca/shopping/item.aspx?sku=21088927&cid=130450&mcat=148218&menu=1&page=3 Both are not that expensive (for a little gift), comments? Both look good but necklaces seem to be on the border since it is been the summer. The second one at 300 CDN is not bad. The designer has some nice necklaces but her other items are just weird. Tableware, decorative pieces, but necklaces are nice.
bab Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 I don't like just lingerie for Christmas. Not the least of reasons because my parents are likely to ask, "What did shiro kuma get you for Christmas?". Then I get that dumb...uhhhhhh...look on my face. Up until I got married my parents and I both pretended that I never had sex. But I like the idea of jewelry and then panties as a stocking stuffer.

Author shiro kuma Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 I don't know, after thinking about it, jewelry sounds a little forward (or in my sensibility this soon, needy/desperate). I should maybe think of a light fun gift.
Author shiro kuma Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 So we chatted today online (she is away at the moment) and I guess she caught wind of my plan (lingerie ) and she asked why I was asking what she liked to wear, I tried playing it off that I was only curious but, then she got a little worried that I had already bought her some lingerie (which I haven't). Since she is tall (6'0") that sizing would be difficult, so she said that it would be fun for us to go shopping together (YAY!) I replied with my thoughts exactly . So I have to think of a nice gift to get her for Christmas.
jerbear Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 so she said that it would be fun for us to go shopping together (YAY!) I replied with my thoughts exactly Excellent... now remember your credit card! Don't want to get denied!
Author shiro kuma Posted December 6, 2006 Author Posted December 6, 2006 I was thinking of maybe getting her a necklace or bracelet from Cirque du Soleil.
IpAncA Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 You know something. Just get her something that she likes and would like to get from you. If it's from the heart, your can't go wrong. Even if you think it's silly.
