shiro kuma Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Hi, I have been thinking what to get my girlfriend for Christmas, and one of my friends mentioned maybe get her lingerie (bra and panties). At first, I thought it was a pretty good idea, it is something personal (not something like electronics) and both of us would get enjoyment out of it (i hope ). As far as sizing goes, I guess I could look through her underwear drawer.... I figure it is by far better than purchasing something like jewelry. What are peoples thoughts on the lingerie idea? Honestly, is this a good gift idea? personally, I think so (the gift says that I think she is sexy, it is something we will both get enjoyment out of, and it shows her that I'm a little naughty). Since this would be the first time (if I do consider) buying a woman lingerie, I think its ballsy.

I dont even care for seeing a girl in sexy panties I like them better naked. and yes this is a balsy gift for many reasons you could come off seeming like its a gift for you. I say go back to the drawing board and get her something else but lets wait and see if some girls think ur gift sounds good

alphamale Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 no its a bad idea cause most women will think you're buying yourself the "gift" instead of for her. go with jewelry instead. or anything romantic. don't get her a toaster or clock-radio or anything like that. if you get her something good you'll be guaranteed good sex for at least a month or two.

She has already told me (she is away at the moment) that she has bought new underwear (which she wants to show me ). I guess I have to re-evaluate the situation then. I think that its a good idea, just make sure its something that you know is her style and a color that she likes.
Green Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 If I were you I would just walk around the mall with her one day tell her you need help getting ur mother a christmas gift. then just take note of what she looks at and what she comments on that way you can figure out what to get her. dont let her know or ask her what to get the surprise is one thing girls really like.

If you like the idea of lingerie, but aren't quite sure about it I would suggest getting her a pair of sexy panties from Victoria'a Secret and then a gift card for whatever amount you want. She'll probably take the hint and get the matching bra or maybe a babydoll. Or, if she doesn't want to do that she can still get some perfume or makeup...no harm done. I worked at Victoria's Secret a few years ago and this is what we suggested to the guys that wanted to get lingerie but weren't too sure about what to get. Worked like a charm

I felt like a pervert or sometime or like maybe the salesgirls though I wore lingerie myself. it was WEIRD. I won't go anymore unless I have female company with me. But I don't think twice about walking into my local porn shoppe and buying a new DVD. But its all guys in there and we never make eye contact

It is ok to go in, just don't go in looking dumb and dumber. Have to be an educated buyer and know your woman's sizes. I knew more about the sizing when the sales ladies asked what I was thinking of, I wanted to get a set in this cup size that size panty and the color is green. That is what I thought, if I am going to do this, I am going to ask a female friend to come with me (and it wouldn't harm for me to ask her where to go either, she would know I'm sure). Some of the nicer boutiques to go to. Fredericks of Hollywood if you want more risque but larger chain. The boutiques are nice but the problem is sizing, not everyone's sizing is the same. VS' C cup could be a B cup in a boutique. Get some numbers from your girl. We have been dating since this past summer. Stay away from expensive jewelry. If you really really want to get her something, maybe a broach pin.
