freckles73 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 It's really simple, actually. Say, "You seem really interesting and I'd like to get to know you. Would you be open to having coffee or dinner with me sometime?" If she says yes, then ask her how you can get in touch with her. If she says, "Sorry, I have a boyfriend", or whatever, then at least you gave it a shot and you won't be wondering if you missed an opportunity.

If she's interested in talking to you, getting to know you, or being picked up, she'll say something back and a conversation will ensue. If after a while the conversation goes well and you think you like her, simply say something like "Hey, would you like to...(insert whatever you'd like to do here i.e. dinner, movie, hang out, bar, your place, etc) with me sometime? Why don't you give me your number?"
