"why buy the cow if you get free milk" is what they say. i've been with my bf for over a month, and i would love to take our relationship to that next level, but i really don't want to do this if it's gonna mess up things for the possible future i have with him. he's definately ready also, but we've taken things slow for the past month. which i think is good. what do you guys think about this?

norajane Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Since most women who marry these days are not virgins, it can't possibly be true that men won't marry you if you sleep with them. If you sleep with them on the first date, then your chances of developing a loving relationship are a LOT lower. But if you have been together and want to be in a relationship with each other, sex can increase the intimacy dramatically. Don't do it if you have any doubts, though. You'll know when you're ready.

I think it's utter garbage. How do you account for the hundreds of thousands of people who live together before getting married? I'd say about 80% of people in the western world these days have had sex with their partner and millions are still getting married every day. If you don't want to have sex, don't, but don't hold off because youa re holding the guy to randsom so one day he'll walk you down the aisle.
