laRubiaBonita Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 my little sister's BF of 6 or 7 years, is in the army. he is stationed in Italy, and does some sort of special training for paratroopers. i am not fond of the shady liar.... no one in the family really is. My little sister was supposed to go to italy to see him at the end of december, she had her tickets, got her passport, she was soo excited! this week, he has told her he may be getting kicked outtat the army because he punched a sergant in the face. so she has canceled her ticket.... which cost $250.00. The boy is a compulsive liar, i do not know how my sister can stand it, i rarely give much weight to anything that spews outta his head! my question... wouldn't it take alot more than a punch in the face to a superior to get booted from the army? wouldn't they court marshal you first or something?
melodymatters Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 My only experience is that i knew two people who WANTED out of the army, so they purposely smoked pot and failed their drug tests. Sorry I can't be more help !!!
PussInHeels Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Even if he punched a sergeant, I'm pretty sure he would still get a trial. He'd most likely be court marshaled and discharged, but I don't think they could just kick him out right away.

Moai Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 He would get time in the stockade and THEN they would kick him out. Maybe. Hitting a sergeant is different from hitting an officer. And circumsatnces play a role as well. A dishonorable discharge is a pretty serious thing (that's what you get if you get kicked out), so I think that you haev to screw up pretty bad to get one. Considering that the Army is short-handed right now, you'd probably have to do more to get kicked out. Not that it matters. He has a GF in Italy and doesn't want your sister to show up. Duh.
PussInHeels Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Not that it matters. He has a GF in Italy and doesn't want your sister to show up. Duh. lol, yeah I kinda think you hit the nail on the head.
Author laRubiaBonita Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 lol, yeah I kinda think you hit the nail on the head. i already knew that! he has cheated in her numerous times, while he lived only a few miles away! i am more interested in his getting booted.
PussInHeels Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I don't really know how it works in the army...maybe he'll get booted eventually. Maybe the sergeant will kick the crap out of him. Hard to tell.

a4a Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Maybe he was corn holing the Sgt. and gave him a donkey punch?
Walk Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I'm in the Marines, which is (in my opinion) a lot stricter and has a much higher expectation of obedience, and the guys that pulled that stunt only got demoted. It's harder then hell to get out of the service. Especially right now. I don't know... if he did punch the Sgt, he'll be spending the next two months with no off-base priviledges and they'll give him every shyt job possible. Whole system is built on obedience... If they don't keep it, men die. So they take it seriously. They know men pull that specificially TO get out.. so that's the last thing they ever consider. All around good guy is what you're saying, eh? Real winner?
InsanityImpaired Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Things that may work: * Telling that you are gay, and fancy the commanding officer. * Declaring yourself a terrorist, ready to blow up some landmark. * "Oh Osama, what a good tape!" * Declare yourself to be fully psychotic, and ready to kill the first person you see when waking up. Punching a sergeant won't do. Have to agree with Moai, that the likely reason is that there is some gf in Italy.

InsanityImpaired Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 These ruses rarely work--look at Klinger? Yes, of course most of it would have to be checked by a psychiatrist. Even if people joke they put a bomb in a plane, it is considered seriously, and the penalties for these jokes are quite severe. Can't imagine the army being less strict towards its soldiers, than the US is to its citizens. Although the Osama comment may well be enough to get an immediate dishonorable dismissal - if it is not some time in the stockade. After all, to praise the enemy is a major thing - and the US is taking quite a lot of anti-terrorist measures. To have a terrorist supporter in the army would be very unfitting. But that is detracting, from the thread. The story is bogus. And that is what counts.
bonehead Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Lost pay extra duty. Discharged?? Not a chance for just hitting an NCO.
alphamale Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 . so she has canceled her ticket.... which cost $250.00. WTF! $250 for round-trip to Italy? Is she sitting outside on the wing?
Author laRubiaBonita Posted December 1, 2006 Author Posted December 1, 2006 WTF! $250 for round-trip to Italy? Is she sitting outside on the wing? no, that was the cancelation fee on the $1K+ round trip she had bought already.
vluna00 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Well he may not be lying about getting kicked out but there would be more to the story than he is saying. You can build up a lot of stupid little things, always late, looking like a dirt bag, not showering, disgruntled (NCO incident), they might think he is breaking and would rather have him out then going NUTTY over in Italy. That is one place everyone wants to be at but they don't play when it comes to conduct over there. So that bag of @$$ might be telling the truth of getting kicked out. PS Tell your sister she should have gone anyway. Who needs some stupid guy to enjoy Italy? And he owes her $250. That Stupid Piece of....
TYASAFAHICSI Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I agree---go over pick up an Italian stud and flaunt it in his face. If they do not tolerate that crap in Italy, I imagine he can be deployed to a better place (for him) like Afghanistan or Iraq. I also think that a scuffle will not get you the boot. I mena how long did it take to court martial the guy who went loopy and tossed the grenade in his own companys' tent?
