An interesting scenario. Is this thing going anywhere or what?

Help is appreciated here!

So, I met a guy through a mutual friend. Let's call him Ty. We had just both gotten out of relationships a couple of months before, and were kind of feeling lonely and neglected. (I know, I know...rebound!) Our mutual friend planted the idea in our heads that we would probably have a good time having sex with each other. I agreed.

So, it happened, one drunken evening. Then, it happened again continuously, even in stagnant sobriety. I thought it was just going to be a sex thing for a couple of weeks. Then, heaven forbid, I started to like him. And he started to like me. (I can tell.)

So, here we are, two months later. I'm sleeping at his house every other night. We go out all the time. I took him to a friend's wedding with me, during which he proceeded to hold my hand during the ceremony and acted quite romantically with me during the slow dances. He took me out to meet his friends at the bar afterward. All night, he reminded me how beautiful I was.

Then! Then, we went out and I saw a couple of my acquaintances. One of the girls asked if we were dating. Before I could say anything, he said, "Yeah, we're dating."

Dating!? Does this mean I'm his girlfriend? If not...what sort of stunts can I pull to find out if I am?

I asked a couple of my friends and all of them (but one) said that was probably what it meant. One of them, however, informed me that saying that you're "dating" someone is different than being "involved" with someone. I really am not sure if she knows what she's talking about.

Thanks for reading.

From my experience with most guys, you want to define things. I agree just because you are dating someone doesnt me you are "exclusive" and guys will throw this in your face. As the relationship progresses he may feel like he wants to date other people and when you find out he will tell you "you never discussed" exclusivity" and to me if you are someones BF or GF, that means you are exclusive.

So ask him, just say you want to make things clear thats way theres no misunderstanding. iF he says its just dating then at least you know what you are getting yourself into. One thing i leaned with guys, is NEVER assume ANYTHING, amke him define exactly what it is that way he is accountable for his actions in the future...Good Luck!
