Mine was great, I called the health club and found out they were going to be open 8-12 so I went and worked out for a half hour, then went to my folks for mashed potatoes, green beans, and a noodle dish my mom makes that I hadn't had in a while. She said she was glad I had suggested it because they hadn't had it for a while. We didn't have any Turkey but that was O.K. with me.

Went home and took a 2 mile walk with my dog and then read a little and took a short nap.

In the evening I went to a friends house and watched the football game on his HDTV plasma TV that I helped him hang earlier in the day.

Holidays in the past have been something I don't look forward to but someone here told me I can make it whatever I want to make it so I told myself I was going to have fun and just relax and that is what I did.

Now I can't wait until Christmas is here because I'm going to do the same with it, just have fun doing what I want to do and not worry about all the people that make it so commercialized, I don't have to be part of that if I don't want to.

I hope everyone else had a great day.

I wrote about mine in my thread as well. The STBXH was a jerk. I ate a lot of food and chocolate cheesecake. However, didn't mope too much or be sad. I got through it relatively unscathed...if you don't count the calories in that cheesecake. :) I had thought I'd be so depressed that I could out-depress a cemetary. I was wrong. Wasn't the life of the party, but it was a nice family gathering.

it went really, really well, thank you. DH and I had lunch with my boss's family, who we've grown close to, and it was great seeing the kids, especially the baby, who just started college this fall. And the food was outstanding, so we stuffed ourselves silly ...

we stayed until the Cowboys game began, then hightailed it over to another co-worker's family gathering, where we caught the game on her parents' wide-screen TV ... boy was that something else! Ate dinner with them, then left just in time to catch the beginning of Ugly Betty at home.

all in all, it was an enjoyable day because the only relative I had to deal with was my husband, and he was having a great time, too.

not sure how Christmas is going to go, I'm hoping my nephew will get leave from basic training for the holiday. If so, his other aunt and I will plan a huge get together at her house for him. Otherwise, I plan to hang out with co-workers again!

Gina & I had 2 Thanksgivings.

On Thursday, we joined my family at my parents house, ate, then retired to the family room to drink beer, watch football & doze off in front of the TV.

On Saturday, we repeated the process at our house, hosting Gina's family. Both days featured the traditional turkey with the trimmings, & enough food to sink an aircraft carrier.

Not to worry. Three or four hours on the Stairmaster & I'll be right as rain!

I had two Thanksgivings. One with my family, the other with my bf's family. Traditional turkey/ham dinner for the first and turducken for the second. Mmmmm...

I was forced to shut up and sit in a truck by a short guy most of the day.
