My fiance and I are getting married May 19, 2007 and I can not decide on what I want my colors to be. I'm really liking the idea of a light blue and ivory, however the reception hall that we have rented is about to be repainted a purple color. I'm not sure if it is going to be a pastel purple or a dark plum purple. I am just afraid that my colors are going to clash with the room. Any suggestions on wedding colors would be great. I don't have to much time before I have to decide on my colors.

I don't think that the light blue and the ivory color will look bad. I think it would kinda blend well with the light purple. That's horrible that the hall is painted purple.

Best wishes to you both!

Ivory and light blue sound amazing!

But if you're worried about the purple of the room, green is an awesome alternative to light blue. A nice light sage green would go with light or dark purple, and you could even pair it with your light blue but use the blue only in accenting.

Good luck!!!

Ivory and a light blue-grey sounds beautiful with the purple!!! (Sorry about the room - ug!) Silver also looks fabulous with deep purples. And if the room ends up pastel purple, a green-grey is always good. :)

I suggest Ivory and blue colors will be best for your wedding.
