I am currently trying to get my body fat percentage down about 4 points to be a real killer come pool season next summer. I have the exercises down -- 4 weightlifting sessions a week plus 2 1/2 cardios. Issue though is diet. Is 1 gram protein per pound too much? I am planning on going 30/30/40% on 2000 calories with target weight of 160. Just wondering if it is possible to lift, run, eat smart and get leaner as opposed to having to bulk up and then cut down.

Yes, it is....Just keep the cardio up ....Increase your protein in your diet...This will help out...Try protein shakes like optinuim nutrition gold series...Lots of protein and it is one that really does taste good.
