My BF and I have been together for 2yrs. in the beginning everything was great, the sex, the innocent little flirting, basically the whole relationship!!! We olny get to see each other on the weekends (he moved a couple hours away 2 months ago) which has been fine but good god on the weekends I expect there to be a little bit of affection, maybe pretend you love me a little!!! There is sometimes no sex at all and he just seems to take me for granted like i will never leave so he can just treat me and this relationship however he wants on his terms. My question is does playing hard to get really work? I want to make him see that if he keeps acting the way he does he really will loose me. How do I do this? I hate to do this I am 27 and he is 31 why should I feel like I have to play games!! Please help!!!

In my humble opinion, playing "hard to get" rarely if ever works. You ask, "How do I do this?" If I understand "this" correctly, then I think it would be wise for you to assert yourself with him, (he just seems to take me for granted) number one, and number two, (Like I will never leave the relationship) openly communicate your "needs" and what you're either getting or not getting in the relationship. Otherwise you're like a bobber on the lake just bobbing around hoping someone will take the bait and fulfill you. Not gonna happen. Why don't people simply say what they mean and mean what they say to their partners. Neither of you are mindreaders so open mouth and engage in conversation with him. No need for ultimatums, just express yourself clearly. Try that first before what happens after that if it doesn't work. You're the only one making yourself "feel like you have to play mind games." You're 27 years old, you don't wanna play games then don't and don't tolerate the games. I wish you the best of luck and you get what you'd like out of the relationship.

I see what you are saying, however he is not the talking type of guy. When it comes to that he gets upset he does not want to talk about our relationship. He believes everything is ok and i am just trying to start an arguement by talking. We do have an interesting relationship to say the least..... I just need to figure out as a last resort if this can save my relationship.
