Guest Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I met a lady on an internet dating site who claimed to love me after about 2 weeks of knowing her. She convinced me to move in with her and I moved all my stuff over here. She said she was best friends with a guy she had met a year ago on a dating site and he lives in another state but she called and email him every day. She said she knew she could not have a relationship with me and him to so she would tell him she would not contact him anymore. but I cought her 2 times after that emailing him and doing things that didn't seem right. last week I had a job that would take me out of town for half a day I left a recoder in our bedroom and got a recording of her having sex with another man. She does not know this and I am over a barrel now with all my stuff here and no money to move out and no friends or reletives to help me in this state. Beware internet dating.
amaysngrace Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Beware internet dating. Thanks for that. I'd have never known this, had it not been for you. I like to learn something new every day.
riobikini Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Agreed, AG. Now, -all we need to hear from, is at least *one* of those rarer-than-hen's-teeth lucky buggers from the "other" side of the coin who actually picked a winner from a dating site, married him/her, found out (after marriage) that he/she was a billionaire, moved away to a private island, had the 2.5 kids, and are living happier than happy to this very day. Oh, God -bring 'em on. (Smile) -Rio

I do believe this is done through the mail, Rio. Hey, what countries solicit American hotties anyhow? Are there any?
lasan Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Agreed, AG. Oh, God -bring 'em on. (Smile) -Rio This made me chuckle. When I remarried, I married someone I met on the net. He wasn't rich, but he worked. He came with ex-wife drama, non-custodial parent drama (ex-wife not having the children at the designated pick up spot, trying to move them out of state against a court order...you know all the usual stuff), bills, and found out later he came very ill. We had one child that he never met because he died. But we were very happy. Because he died before a year of marriage, I honestly can't say we would have lasted forever with no problems and became billionaires with 2 or 3 kids. (2.5 sounds messy) But I can say I am glad I met him, no matter how I met him, and I wish he could come back.
littlekitty Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 And so let me direct you here: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/showthread.php?p=983736 Since you asked...!!
silktricks Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Well, I know 3 couples who married those they met on the Internet, and one long term relationship (they are in their 2nd year living together.) So, it's not impossible. It's just like any other kind of dating - but more so. It's easy to get caught up in fantasy and make the person out to be something they aren't. And our fantasies are always better than the best reality, so if you aren't careful, you're doomed to fail.

Oh, now wait just a gosh darn minute. YOU didn't have to move in with her. YOU jumped the gun here. That was YOUR doing. Don't go blaming your behavior on "internet dating" or on some woman you didn't know very well. Geez.
