It has been a rollercoaster of emotions ever since he broke my heart 3 months ago. There were things that I knew he still had, but I found out from my friend whom he messaged over msn that he found my grad ring and wants to give it back to me. Why he hasn't asked me himself is beyong my understanding... I did intiate NC but he hasn't at all valued my wishes.

The situation has changed. I was seeing someone new but now that is over. I now know that my ex who has my ring has a girlfriend and I don't know how to handle the situation to get my ring back.

I really want it back, considering it cost over 200 dollars. But at the same time, I am not emtionally ready to see him, knowing that he is with someone else and I just got dumped again...

I don't want to look pathetic in any way. I just want my ring back so I don't have to worry about this anymore?

Any suggestions?

just call him in a cool way and ask him that you need your ring back, don't be nervous it belongs to you and i'm pretty sure that he will return it and don't let time pass cause the more time passes he is going to think that you don't want it and might get rid of it by selling it or givinig it away, you have to do something about it fast. if you broke up in a friendly way there shouldn't be any problem. if you broke up in bad terms just go and tell him that you need your ring back in a nice way, i know break ups are very hard but life goes on and loosing your ring for him is not worth it.

I would get him to mail it if you can't handle seeing him.

Send him a short, friendly e-mail saying you are glad he has your ring and could he please send it back.

That way you don't have to deal with seeing him.

I wouldn't call... I avoid doing that because I'm afraid a female voice would pick up and I'd be devastated.

Just make it a short and friendly note. You're entitled to have it back.

My ex kept my keys for 6 weeks after the break up and refused to even talk to me. SO I sent him his keys back in the mail with a return envelope for my keys.... That prompted him to call and arrange a time to get the rest of his stuff. SOmetimes they just need a little push.

Good luck,

D
