I'm just curious here if this has ever happened to anyone that they know of.

I have a blog, of which I'm 89% careful of never to post anything about my x or how I'm feeling about the breakup etc, BUT the blog has a list of my favorite links on it and one of my favorite links is LS.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has ever known of their x, coming over to LS and looking for posts/threads by you. I know, I know, it reaks of stalking or obcessive compulsiveness, but I would do it. Especially if the person who has the blog kinda uses the same name or very close to it on LS as they do on their blog.

Anyway, that's what I'm thinking about at 7:18 a.m. before my coffee.

Thanks!

Does your blog automatically displays a list of your favourite links?!?

If this ever happened to me I'd not be happy.

If I knew that my SO, my ex or even just anyone I were interested in) posted on LS I would surely look for their posts.

I would not call it stalking as it's a public website and whatever you post in the forums can be googled.

My ex would not have cared. But guys I work with asked me about LS "because it was in my internet history" (nosy sh*ts). So I kind of expect them to be looking around for my posts - I have resorted to posting under a different username when in their company.

Yes, my blog shows all my favorite links by default. I suppose if I really wanted to I could post as a "guest" but what the heck. My x husband read my journal which I had hidden and I never expected him to do that. I had written how I was feeling about him and our marriage at the time. Not good for him to have read.

Thanks for your reply - grazie

p.s - I love Fransceco Totti...

This is why it's important to use an alias that is not recongizable. Or atleast an alias that is so common, anyone could be posting. And keep details about your personal life as generic as possible. I'm sure one of my friends could recognize my posts if they actually read my whole history. But I did take precautions of using a new alias.

prego (or, you are welcome)

I would remove the feature showing your favourite links - you might not mind if your exes reads it, but if you know that other people might, how will you ever feel confortable posting on LS about personal stuff if you feel the need to do so?

I did not know Francesco Totti was quite popular over there too - do you know he has a reputation for being a kind of stereotype of the illiterate stud?

You would find on sale books of jokes about him (many of them are actually old jokes that have been re-adapted to throw his name in). But he laughs it off when he gets interviews, he says it just means he is popular and people are fond of him. :) :)
