AngelEyes84 Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year and half..I have a huge issue with being lied to and he has lied to me a few times..So therefor i cant trust him, i tried forcing myself to trust him, cuz i really wish i could trust him, but i dont know how to even begin to trust him...Can someone give me some advice..How do you trust someone that has lied to you???

It depends why he lied. If he is the type of person who simply lies in important matters or to mask his mistakes, then he is m@therf@cker and I dont understand how can anybody be in love with him. If you are looking for reason why to dump him....do it....you dont need advice from strangers.
MadDog Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Personally, I think it's easier to find someone new to trust than to trust someone who has proven to be dishonest to you. The funny thing about trust is that once it's lost, it's usually gone for good. MD

unsafe Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Trusting someone who some how has proven they can't be trusted. Well I'm struggling with this same issue. Trust is a funny thing. You will always doubt him. Its l just life. I think some people can change certain things. Like white lies...they think they are protecting you, or just don't want to deal with you bitching or being upset abotu something that isn't that big of a deal for them. My boyfriend hasn't done anything to me....to make me not trust him. But he lives and works with a women he has slept with more then once. Supossibly they haven't done anything for years. I try to trust that, since she is marrying his brother. But she was already his girlfriend when he slept with her. His brother said go ahead. But he tells me ...I didn't have a girlfriend. I would never cheat on you and i would never ever touch her again. I think he feels sick about himself for doing it. She has caused alot of trouble for us. I use to live with them...and she kicked me out because she was jealous of our relationship. Trust..its a funny thing. Again it does depend on what he lied about. Something you don't think is unforgiveable? or unforgetable? Let us know what the lie was about so we can help you more! Good luck!
