Mydish1 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Anyone know if there are any off-the-counter facial products I can use to decrease the size of pores? I've always had this problem, if you were far away you couldnt see it, but if you came closer to speak to me, one would easily see my pores. And it doesnt help for the fact that blackheads get stuck or re-stuck by the end of the day.

Just got to the face wash area and read away! there's ones made just for that
quankanne Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 my sister swears that alternating hydrogen peroxide and witch hazel after a hot shower does the trick, and her skin looks pretty good for a 50-year-old. the hot shower opens up her poors and she first takes a wash cloth and pours the peroxide on it, then pats her face (avoiding eyes and mouth) with it. Rinse, then with a separate wash cloth, do the same with the witch hazel, then rinse again. Said she doesn't have to use as much moisturizer either because her skin becomes balanced ...

You are so right...I know lots of people that put perozide on your face,it may dry it out but it works!
allina Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I'm pretty nutty about my pores and skin health, I use a product called DDF cleanse and it's AMAZING, no harsh chemicals but it works really well. Also makeup cloggs pores a lot, I use bare minirals makeup which is a natural makeup that doesnt clog them and it's been great for my skin, I'd recommend it over anything out there.
fluberry Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I knew that my pores were a problem. I tried many products before from over the counter to prescriptions from dermatologists but I was not seeing results . Started using the facial pore reducer cream from naturalis . After over month of using their products I certainly notice my skin is getting better , there is clarity ,tighter skin , healthy glow and yes! smaller pores. I haven't seen my skin this good for a long time. My skin love it ! Had good experience using this product . Hope this helps http://www.google.com.sg/search?hs=777&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=facial+pore+reducer+cream&btnG=Search&meta=
Trialbyfire Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I'm a Lush product girl. Use it, live it. Foundation and pantyhose are two of the greatest evils ever created by mankind. Avoid both.
luvtoto Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Proactive works well for me. Their mask works great, also. Plus, I use an anti-aging lotion by Mary Kay in the morning. At night, I use a night cream by MK that has essential vitamins in it for my face. And, then, pure mineral powder makeup with a sunscreen included. My skin glows with no blackheads or acne..or large pores. It's all about regimine.
Fun2BMe Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Foundation and pantyhose are two of the greatest evils ever created by mankind. Avoid both. Assuming foundation doesn't clog your pores, what is wrong with foundation and pantyhose?
magichands Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Assuming foundation doesn't clog your pores, what is wrong with foundation and pantyhose? Nothing...if you're preparing to rob a bank.
Trialbyfire Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Assuming foundation doesn't clog your pores, what is wrong with foundation and pantyhose? No matter how well made a foundation is, finely ground and all the good hype, it still restricts your pores from breathing. It doesn't mean I never wear it. Just once every couple of years whether I need to or not, which makes me realize why I don't wear it, lol. It's uncomfortable. Pantyhose are uncomfortable. Bare legs are far sexier.
magichands Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Pantyhose are uncomfortable. Bare legs are far sexier. I like your answer better.
Trialbyfire Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I like your answer better. That's 'cause you're a guy.
fluberry Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I prefer to apply minimal make up. I don't use foundation .
luvtoto Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I prefer to apply minimal make up. I don't use foundation . ..because you don't like the feel of foundations? I didn't like them either until I tried powder foundation. I love that stuff! Can't live without it. You can even sleep in it and not have your pores clogged. It's pure.
