I have a friend, we will call her Brenda , whom met a man online (not in person), we will call him Larry, that lives over a thousand miles away from her. Him and her both agreed that one day in the near future that they would like to meet in person. Brenda and Larry talk quite regularly by internet and phone.

 

Well, approx. 2 months after Brenda met Larry online (not in person), Larry met a woman online, we will call her Kathy, that lived only a few mins. away from where he lived. Well, Larry and Kathy met in person only a few days after they met online. They ended up going on a date out that following weekend after they met online and in person. Larry and Kathy started hanging out together quite regularly.

 

One night, approx. 2 months after Kathy and Larry met online, Brenda and Larry are talking online and Larry ends up talking to Kathy online at the same time he is talking to Brenda. So he has all three of them, himself, Brenda, and Kathy go into a conference all together and he introduces Brenda to Kathy and so forth. Larry asks Brenda to ask Kathy why Kathy thinks that Larry and her (Kathy) are meant for each other.

 

Well, as the days go on Brenda and Larry continue to talk online or by phone regularly. Larry and Kathy still hang out quite regularly and are calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend. Brenda and Kathy have been keeping intouch online with each other quite regularly.

 

Well, one day Kathy gets ahold of Brenda and says that Larry broke up with her. Well, probably not more than 3 weeks later Kathy and Larry are back to calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend.

 

One day Kathy IM's Brenda online to say that Larry brought her lunch at work and that he also brought her a gold braclet. And then another day Brenda and Kathy are talking online and Kathy tells Brenda that Larry (whom is in his mid-20 still lives at home) says when he buys his friends house that he is going to give her (Kathy) a set of keys to the house and a remote to the garage door. But during the whole time that Kathy and Larry have been hanging out regularly and calling each other boyfriend and girlfiend, Larry hasn't really said much about Kathy and his relationship but Kathy almost constantly talks about Larry.

 

One day Larry and Brenda are talking and he asks Brenda to move out to a city that is approx. 2 hours away from him and that she could finish up college there.

 

Well, Larry and Brenda are talking one day and Larry tells Brenda that he wants to met this other woman, we will call her Linda, in person that he met online. But he still hanging out regularly with Kathy and they are both still calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend. He wants know what kinda of person and personality Linda has in person. Linda's home is approx. just over and hour from where Larry lives but Linda has been overseas working and is only home for a short while and has to go back over sees to work. Well, Larry was suppose to contact Linda and set up a time to meet when Linda is back in the states.

 

Well, time goes on and Larry and Brenda are talking and Larry tells Brenda that him and Kathy are getting close.

 

 

I know what my own opinion of this situtation is and I know what my friend, Brenda's opinion is but I want to get all of your opinion's.

 

Would you keep your hopes up that this man is going to become your LDR boyfriend or would you think he is just a friend? Or any other opinion you have on this would be appreciated.

I have to admint the feeling that I get from this story is that she's just a friend, someone he can talk to about stuff.
