sungrl Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 My b/f has his own place but usually stays at his mom's so she is not alone. He had to go pay his rent though and got there at like 9pm--he called me a few times but i was unable to pick up. I call him back at 10pm and he says he was about to eat a tv dinner..we talked for like 15 minutes and then i said i was going to go. He calls me on his way home at around midnight. He says he was falling asleep on the couch but just decided to go home..there were bumps in the car and he was like--ugh they are doing construction...BUT the thing is--he always goes the same way to his house from his apartment--i dont think there is another way--but when i am in the car--there is no construction. Even on the phone when it happened--i said where is the contruction and he just says i dunno, i havent been down this street in awhile. I brought it up casually today by talking about the contruction near me and then asked if they are still doing construction on that block and he just says i dunno, i dont really go on that block.. Does this sound suspicious to you? That there is no construction when i am in the car and he goes the SAME way but that night there was..should i think he might had been somewhere else he shouldnt have been...?? Being too paranoid? I notice a lot of things that maybe others wouldnt have.
JackJack Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Right now, just based on what you have said, I do think you are being to suspicious. So are you equating the construction "bumps in the road" by him doing something else? Unless you have other reasons to feel something is not right, I would say it seems ok at this point, unless theres more to the story.
Craig Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Yes based on what you've said you are being too suspicious.
Author sungrl Posted November 7, 2006 Author Posted November 7, 2006 ok--but then what do i think of this b/c i dont see the construction on the same way we always go..just assume he took another street and thats it?
Trimmer Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I notice a lot of things that maybe others wouldnt have. What else? Based only on the information you have provided (bumping sounds and his assertion that he went through some construction) it sounds like you are being overly suspicious, but if you are noticing "a lot of things", it could all add up. What else? ...should i think he might had been somewhere else he shouldnt have been...?? The facts that you have presented support that he might have been on a street you didn't expect him to be on. To get from there to "being somewhere else he shouldnt have been", or even further, as I think you are implying, doing something he shouldn't have been doing is yet another pretty big stretch, without any other relevant clues... Is it possible that after eating a TV dinner and falling asleep on the couch for a couple hours, he woke up feeling like his teeth had little sweaters on them, and he had to detour to the all-night drugstore for some dental floss or mouthwash before he got home? Or to the liquor store for Gatorade, or who knows what else... I mean, again, absent some other clue, is there some kind of innocuous reason he might have actually gone down a different street. Now, if you've been noticing other stuff, you should put that out on the table...
