mrbeantown Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Yesterday, after about a mounth of NC, my ex of 6 years contacted me through myspace. She asked how I am doing, told me she got a part time job, blah blAH BLAH.... but she also said "She thought of me today because she drove by my job. She wanted me to know that there is always a place for me in her heart and that she misses having me as a friend. Hopefully someday when we both have had time to heal we can talk again. take care of yourself write back if you have time." I know there is no chance of us getting back together anytime soon if ever. But.. is she starting to miss me as a person? Does she have even a little regret? Or does she just feel bad for what she did? Should I respond? Any suggestions on what to say? It wasnt an ugly breakup she just "didnt love me" anymore. I still REALLY miss her and am still hurt by the breakup. What should I do? thanks again

If so I would write back and tell her you still have those feelings for her and as such it would be too painful to remain friends and seeing as the friendship would be based on a hope that it may become more it wouldn't be a truthful relationship. There would be an ulterior motive for the friendship. If however you are both over each each other and simply want to stay in touch every now and then just cos you care that the other person is happy then why not, you obviously had a friendship and liked this person otherwise how could you have loved them. Complete honesty is the key here. If you can't be completely open and honest then there is no friendship. Friendship is about who you are warts and all.
