I've been dating this guy since August. We don't use boyfriend/girlfriend labels, but we pretty much are that. Anyway, he hates liars and people who hide things from him. If you lie to him you are pretty much immediately ditched. Well, this is difficult for me since I have a tendency to lie to people; but I have tried really hard to keep that under control.

Last night, after dinner, I am really sleepy but say that I will watch an episode of Lost. We watch it and I fall asleep. However, earlier that day I had read an episode recap so I knew what happened. So when he discussed the episode with me after, I could talk about it. He asked if I stayed awake for the whole show and, for whatever reason, I said yes.

Just before Lost, we had sex. And when I used the bathroom after sex there was blood; not period blood but real blood. I didn't consider it a big deal though. I just cleaned myself up and went back to his room.

After Lost, we had sex again and he was like "uh, you're bleeding" and I said "I Know." He was upset about that, then I mentioned that I completely fell asleep during Lost and he was all "great."

SO... his whole spiel is that he always finds things out about me when it's too late; that I hide things and never tell him things but he finds out anyway. My take on it is that I do not consider the bleeding significant at all. And of course a tv show is just a tv show, though it was stupid to lie about that.

In general, was he overreacting?

And in the future how can I cope with someone who hates liars when I am one? I have been overcoming this problem for a loooooong time but I still seem to be stuck in the terrible habit.
