Wes Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Ok, so long story short, my gf of a couple of years broke up with me about three months ago. As far as the emotional part of the relationship goes, I'm totally over it. But as for the physical part, well, I've been missing it. So one of my girl friends tells me about this girl she works with that is 28, single, and just got out of a 5-year relationship with her ex-fiance. She showed me some pics of her, and man she is amazing. At first, I jokingly asked her to hook me up with her, not thinking she would take it seriously. So the next day at work, she tells this girl that I thought she was hot and that I wanna hook up with her. She asked how old I was and I think she laughed and said something like "he wouldn't know what to do with me." But what she doesn't know is that I do. So a few days pass and my friend and I don't bring up the situation, until two nights ago when she told me that her and that girl were going out and that I should come out and meet her. So of course I did, and man she looks even better in person. I met her earlier tonight, but I had been drinking, so I wasn't thinking straight enough to get her number. Hell, I've never asked out a woman that was 7 years older than me, so I don't even know how to go about doing this, haha. But anyway, I'm supposed to go out with my friend again tomorrow and we're supposed to meet up with that girl sometime tomorrow evening, so I'll have another chance to talk to her sober. Here's the catch to all of this, though. Since her break-up, she's decided to move back home halfway across the country within the next month. There would be no strings attached to any of this, and we would both have a good time. However, I know my time is running out quickly, so I feel like I have to do or say something tomorrow. I know she's up for a hook up, but I think she's a little turned off by my age difference. My friend told me that after I left tonight, the girl said I was cute. I kept telling my friend that I wished I hadn't been drinking before I met her because I felt like an idiot, and she kept telling me "you're good, you're fine, I swear." So what can I do to make this happen? I'm not the type that gives up easily. Normally, I know how to do this stuff, but I've never hooked up with someone so much older and more mature than me. But I hope it happens. Any advice?

If you think that having a casual fling with her for the rest of her time in the area is the only option, then go for it as long as that is what you want. She already said that you are cute, and your friend said that you are doing fine, so just continue being yourself around her.
