We work in a toxic small office where **** talk, gossip and rumors are the norm which is why I'm looking for another job and why I have to keep my interest totally on the dl. Anyway from the minute I saw him I was immediately attracted to him and have found myself thinking about him alot. From the start he was overly mannerly to me like asking if I want something if he was going out, saying the pleasure is mine, stepping out of my path to let me go in front of him..no guys in my office do this. Anyway he always asks me questions how to do something, if I can read something for him, sometimes the same questions time and time again lol. We chit chat if he's by my desk, kid around and tease one another. Then there is the casual touching he does. He will walk by and touch my arm. Thing is I asked him in our first meeting where he lived and he told me he was staying with friends. I later found out his "friends' is actually the girl hes seeing lol. He still has never once mentioned her to me but has to others who say it seems like he really don't like her much. He came out of the blue and asked me if I was married which I found odd bc most guys will ask if u have a bf first lol. I've seen him check me out, he'll look at me up and down real quick. In general he is a nice guy to everyone. He told me he's only gonna be there for a few months and I plan on being out shortly as well. Anyway my problem is the toxic two face who he shares an office with. Since they're together 8 hrs a day he talks to her alot. She and her pal are the queen **** talkers and spend their time talking about everyone in the office behind their back ripping them to shreds and then are nice to them. I've heard them talk about me as well. I don't trust her or like her but am civil and talk though I hate being phony to her. I know either she has or its a matter of time till she starts bad mouthing me to him. She is married so I'm not worried shes after him but if I start going in their office to talk to him I know she'll spread rumors and plus I can't stand her so why would I. I'm afraid she'll turn him against me or something. Anyway what do u think I should do? Is he attracted?interested? Should I start openly flirting more? Should I keep my mouth shut and see how things unwind? Am I totally off?
