i saw the ex at school today - what do i do?

hi everyone,

 

today was the first day since school started that i actually saw my ex gf. we were both in the gym and we both saw each other. we had a tough breakup and there had been many people gossiping about us but her and i haven't spoken and we both would probably rather let that stuff stay in the past. i was wondering if i should have walked up to her and said 'hello' - i didn't because i wasn't sure how she would have taken that - any thoughts?
