OH my god...was over a friend's house the other evening and we were goofing around on her computer. I can not believe some of the things she showed me in regards to the dating sites....

If people want to cheatit is like open season.

We saw the same guy's picture up on different sites with different types of his personality mentioned...as in "what a player."

They've got sugar daddy sites, sugar mama...it just made my head spin...and I"m pissed because my bf makes calls on chat lines...this cheating thing seems to becoming intrusive everwhere one looks. What is the deal?

I guess I'm very happy I was married for twelve years, had my two sons and at the very least, I have a good job. I think the dating world has gone to sh*t. Sites where people can get alibies & everything....I am just in shock...

I think a nice pet (dog, cat) is certainly more easier these days. They don't use cell phones, text messages, or do drugs....what could be better....

...saving my xmas bonuses to purchase a nice mini-dachsund I think...

Dating sites are today's way of "starting your life over" -except that most of those folks haven't finished with their old one.

Already met with that experience -and it certainly isn't for me.

Well, you can partly blame the American entertainment society which in the past few years seems to idolize infedelity and affairs. Movies are riddled with romance and love stories where one person leaves their fiance or marriage and falls into the arms of their "Soul Mates". I even hear people I know say "have an affair, sometimes it's good for a marriage".

People just get tied up in the mystery and suspense of cheating, it brings excitement and spontaneity give the secrecy it encompasses. On top of all that, the root of it is that people are disposable due to a disposable society, so it would seem.

That's a pretty good sum up...we're a disposable society be it paperplates or people...now wonder I feel like I should be on tranquilizers.

Yep. I rented that movie "Lost In Translation" because I'm a big Bill Murray fan but watching it kind of pissed me off. The whole movie is centered around glorifying affairs.
